Lacewood Q/C Duraback Veneer

Price: $206.72
Lacewood is a product of Tropical South America and boasts one of the most interesting looks on the market. Its color consists of a reddish-brown base with gray to light brown rays strewn throughout. When quartersawn this wood exhibits its most beautiful pattern showing off its namesake with lace like figuring. The grain itself is usually straight while the texture is coarse and uneven. Its not uncommon for multiple other species to be mislabeled and sold as Lacewood due to their similar appearance. For instance Leopardwood is often mistaken for a darker lacewood when in fact it is completely separate and both Northern and Southern Silky Oak are almost identical when viewed from a macroscopic perspective. Some sellers even label them as Australian Lacewood(That's not a real specie).
